Atsu Titiati

Chief Executive Officer

Atsu has more than three decades of experience working with NGO's and the private sector both in Ghana and abroad. Atsu has earned a reputation for building successful multidisciplinary teams, developing and implementing strategic plans, forging productive relationships with government leaders and institutional donors and leading in results oriented field implementation activities. He has worked with several international NGOs including CARE International, Rainforest Alliance, EnterpriseWorks/VITA and Relief International in varied senior positions as either Country or Project Director.

He has worked in the development field in a wide range of sectors including agriculture, forestry, light/cottage industry, economic tree crops, renewable energy, water and sanitation, and ecosystem services products and enterprise development, among others. His extensive experience in organizational strengthening and adult trainer for local organizations and producer groups comprises a broad range of areas including commercial agriculture, biodiversity conservation, market analysis, and negotiation between the public and private sectors, as well as certification, monitoring and evaluation.

He holds an MSc in NGO Management & Studies, a BSc in Agriculture and a Diploma in Education - all from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, in addition to other professional certificates including a Diploma in Social Entrepreneurship from the University of Santa Clara, USA.

 

Dr. Augustus Asamoah

Director ‐ Operations

Dr. Augustus Asamoah is a Conservation Ecologist with nearly two decades of professional experience in Natural Resources and Environmental Management with specific expertise in tropical silviculture and forest management, biodiversity management and assessment of high conservation value (HCV). Augustus is also one of the few professional Field Ornithologists in Ghana. He was instrumental in the rediscovery of the White-necked Picathartes (a globally threatened bird) in Ghana and he is credited largely with current knowledge on the species in Ghana.

In the nearly two decades of professional experience, Augustus has carried out biodiversity and ecological assessments and conservation planning in all the ecological zones of Ghana. He has immense functional experience in landscape wide natural resources management concepts such community forestry and REDD+. He is also a certified HCV Assessor with HCV assessment experience in Ghana, Cameroon and Liberia.

Dr.(Mrs.) Wilhemina Quaye

Director ‐ Research, Monitoring and Evaluation

Dr. (Mrs.) Wilhelmina Quaye obtained her PhD in Rural Sociology from Wageningen University in the Netherlands in 2012. She had her MPhil (2002) and BSc (1993) in Agricultural Economics from the University of Ghana, Legon. She also has a certificate in Gender Mainstreaming from Institute of Capacity Development in South Africa and a certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation of Development Projects from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration.

She is an African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD) fellow and an expert in Monitoring and Evaluation. She has over 30 peer reviewed publications and has attended close to 20 international conferences. Her areas of specialization include Socio-economic related research, Monitoring & Evaluation, Policy and Gender Issues. She has close to 20years working experience both in research and practice.

Gloria Theresa Addo-Aryitey

Director ‐ Program Development & ICT

Gloria has enjoyed close to a decade and half’s successful career with several International NGO’s as an Info Systems and Infrastructure Manager. She had previously contributed to the UNHCR’s refugee resettlement program in Ghana, through the Overseas Processing Entity Office, and had progressed to become the Senior ICT officer for USAID’s Water Sanitation and Hygiene Project implemented by Relief International, Winrock International and the Adventist Development and Relief Agency.

Gloria received her BSc.in Computer Science at KNUST, and holds a Cisco Network Associate certificate. In addition, Gloria has received training in Data Management and Analysis and Monitoring and Evaluation. Gloria employs theatre as a tool to inspire change – she has over the last decade organized annual theatrical shows, to engage her community and increase awareness to opportunities and avenues for personal development among the youth.

Samuel Dzata

Director ‐ Technical Services

Samuel has over 10 years’ experience working on community development projects and has extensive knowledge and skills in field work including community mobilization, enterprise development and working with small scale producers and artisans. He is an adult trainer and has an excellent working relation with community based organizations. He has degrees in Public Administration and Resource Management in addition to several professional certificates in marketing, adult training and technology transfer.

David Adaah

Finance & Administration Manager

David has proven financial management experience in the international development sector. He has worked for a number of international development organizations, both nonprofit and for-profit, and he has worked with organizations funded by U.S. government and European grants and contracts. He hold a degree in Accounting and is a student member of the Institute Of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (Part 3).

Nii Odenkey Abbey

Communication & Community Relations

Nii Odenkey Abbey is a strategic communication professional with 15 years of experience in developing and executing communication strategies for development programmes.

He has worked progressively with Stratcom Africa, Newmont Golden Ridge Resource Limited, United Nations Development Programmes (UNDP), United States Agency for International Development (UASID) Fisheries Management Project and has also served as a consultant to West Africa Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum.

Nii Odenkey has a strong understanding of media and communication for development in Ghana. He holds Master Degree in Communication, Media and Public Relations from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom, in addition to other certificates from other reputable Institutions around the World.
